Believe me, when it comes to choosing sweets, we are a baker’s critic; the delicate sugar cookies, are soft and sweet, and we only accept a mouthwatering rated cookie.
That’s why; this is the most simple sugar cookie recipe to prepare in my kitchen. They are buttery soft, airy, light, silky, and a sweet savory flavor, this is our family favorite.
They are soft in the center with a golden crunch around the edges, with a glamorous sparkle of sugar crystals. The cookie has sweetness, chewy and a “pop” of vanilla flavor.
It is the ultimate SUGAR COOKIE.
EASY SUGAR COOKIES FOR THE HOLIDAYS
This recipe for sugar cookies is our utmost best-loved sweets. It is something spectacular to bite into a delicious yet perfect sugar cookie. Unconditionally, bring a dozen of sugar cookies to your next holiday party. The reviews will ROLL in.
INGREDIENTS:
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup of butter, softened not melted
1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup of dark brown sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoon pure vanilla
½ cup sugar (rolling your dough balls)
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the oven at 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Combine the dry ingredients, flour, baking soda, baking powder in a medium bowl and set aside.
- Cream together the soft butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl at medium speed until creamy. Don’t over mix.
- Add the egg and mix until well combined.
- Add the pure vanilla and continue to mix until well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix dough until well combined. The batter will be thick and easy to roll into balls.
- Prepare approximately 2-inch sized balls of sugar cookie dough. Gently roll into a ball and roll into the reserved granulated sugar. Set the balls on parchment paper baking sheet.
- Bake for 9 – 10 minutes. The sugar cookies will be soft in the middle and a golden crust for the sides. Do not over bake.
- Remove from oven and cool on baking sheet for approximately 5 minutes. Transfer cookies from baking sheet to a wire rack to cool completely.
If you feel festive, decorating sugar cookie with various colored sprinkles or topping it with a buttery cream cheese frosting. It is a home-run experience.
